The Hollow Dream
A keeper at a tall window over a moonlit sea, in a lobby of brass pipes and filing cabinets

Bureau of the Hollow · Now hiring for the night shift

The dead leave things behind. Someone has to file them.

The Hollow Dream is a persistent story game set in an afterlife bureaucracy inside a shared dream. Work a desk, chart a dream, or keep a lighthouse. The world moves whether you are there or not.

What a night is like

A quiet office at three in the morning, and a sea where the floor should be

You clock in. A capsule drops from the pneumatic tube. Something has arrived: an object, a dreamer's file, a ship on the horizon. You read it, you talk to whoever it belongs to, and you decide what happens next. Then you wait, because the Hollow keeps its own time, and things take as long as they take.

Every few hours
the world changes. Tides, weather in the dream, new arrivals.
Every morning
the Gazette prints what happened, including what you did.
In real time
expeditions, crossings and inquiries run while you are away.
Shared
what you chart, pass or dispatch reaches other keepers' desks.
